Dreamers Crime Album/ Video and launch show announced

Dreamers Crime are today announcing that they are to release their brand new album ‘No Compromises’ on Friday November 17 – an album created and crafted by the Sydney band along with Stevie Knight and Dave Petrovic at Electric Sun Studios (Tonight Alive, The Dead Love, Thy Art is Murder, Northlane). This is their debut album and it hits hard and pulls no punches.

‘No Compromises’ will be available for pre-order this Friday October 13 and punters will receive new single ‘Here We Are’ – their new single and the second cut from the record. Today, they are also releasing a filmclip for the track to celebrate the announcement – and the track will nab its radio premiere tomorrow night on triple j’s The Racket.

Following on from two years’ worth of writing and gigging in Australia, including opening a Rugby League pre-game show at ANZ stadium, the boys returned to the recording studio to lay down what became ‘No Compromises’.

Stevie Knight and Dave Petrovic brought Dreamers Crimes’ ideas and potential into reality. A melting pot of influences and ideas meshed together and out came an album that depicts the sound of a new era and style in song, which will be able to be heard in its entirety from November 17.

Voyager ANNOUNCE SUPPORTS FOR MAY ALBUM TOUR + ‘GHOST MILE’ ALBUM PRE-SALE DETAILS

VOYAGER are building towards what is to be a mammoth album release – with their new record (their 6th!!) GHOST MILE out on May 12th and a tour with France’s The Algorithm already announced, it’s time to get to the nitty-gritty of it.
Punters can now pre-order the album right here – http://geni.us/VoyagerGhostMile (and get Misery is Only Company and Ascension instantly on iTunes pre-orders!) AND we now know who is supporting Voyager and their French pals The Algorithm on their tour of Australia. Oh! And Ascension is now available to stream at Spotify!
Adelaide’s show at Fowler’s Live sees Tony Font Show in support, Melbourne gets Windwaker at The Evelyn, Brisbane, The Stranger at The Zoo, Perth will see Sparrow in support at Amplifier, Canberra gets Immorium & HighView at The Basement and Sydney gets the mighty Hemina at Oxford Art Factory.
The filmclip (now at 20k views!) for single Ascension premiered at massive UK website Prog and was featured on triple j’s The Racket, Home and Hosed and 2017 with Richard Kingsmill last week, as well as Andrew Haug Radio and Hysteria’s Hard Noise show – and has been on solid rotation on late night RAGE for the past 3 weeks in a row.
VOYAGER’S sensationally anthemic 6th opus has an amalgamation of everything the band does best – huge soundscapes, pop and prog sensibilities with catchy and thought-inducing instrumentals. The album was mixed by Matthew Templeman (Saviour, Life Pilot) and mastered by Simon Struthers and maintains the production that was such a successful selling point for their album ‘V’.

With a fiery red keytar, a feisty female guitarist and concerts described as “amazing chemistry blending pop with heavy, technical and progressive riffs”, Voyager are consistently a live force to be reckoned with. Deftones’ Chino Moreno recently likened singer Danny Estrin’s vocals to Duran Duran’s Simon LeBon.
In June 2014, Voyager released their fifth opus; the internationally critically acclaimed ‘V’. Their new album received incredible reviews from media outlets such as Metal Hammer, Prog Magazine, Classic Rock Magazine and Revolver Magazine. In addition, ‘V’ entered the top 20 on the CMJ US Loud Rock Charts and led Voyager to receiving a nomination for the ‘Breakthrough Artist’ award at the 2014 Prog Magazine Music Awards and an invitation to appear at Bigsound 2014.

‘V’ also saw Voyager perform at major festivals such as ProgPower USA, Euroblast Festival in Germany and the prestigious ProgPower Europe Festival in The Netherlands. They also shared the stage with the likes of Deftones, Opeth, Leprous, Protest The Hero, Nightwish, Epica, Oceans of Slumber and Coheed and Cambria over the course of V’s album cycle.
Having ended 2016 with a bang touring Australia with DEFTONES and KARNIVOOL, receiving a WAM award for ‘Best Heavy Act’, and already being invited to once again play Euroblast and headline Progpower EU in 2017, it’s looking to be their biggest year yet with the upcoming release of ‘GHOST MILE’.

DEF FX Announce Australian Tour

DEF FX

Heaven And Hell 2017 Australian Tour

with Special Guests

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult

DEF FX, Australia’s own electronic surf rock band of the 90s is returning to Australia in 2017 for a national tour!

Fronted by the enigmatic Fiona Horne and joined by the original line-up, including founding guitarist Blake Gardiner – this is a show not to be missed!

“This 20 year reunion tour is a dream come true for the band and our Def Family of fans. It will be the first time in 24 years that Marty and I have performed with Def’s founding guitarist, Blake Gardner.

And we’re super excited to be joined by our special guests, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult – we’re all going to party like its 1996! It’s going to be a healing, rocking time!”- Fiona Horne.

DEF FX will be joined onstage by My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult (often shortened to Thrill Kill Kult or TKK ) on their first ever visit to Australia.

Hailing from Chicago’s renowned Wax Trax Records stable of bands, THRILL KILL KULT creators Groovie Mann (lead vocals) and Buzz McCoy (keys/production) have been conjuring up sonic tales of blasphemy, sexcapades and kitschy horror for over 25 years. Their sound is a concoction of experimental, disco, rock, new wave, lounge and glam, interlaced with their signature “sampled dialogue” –

a reflection of the duo’s musical influences, and insight into their taste in cinema. During the early 1990s, Thrill Kill Kult had several hits on the U.S. dance club and alternative charts.

They also contributed songs to several movie soundtracks and appeared in the 1994 film The Crow.

The band has continued to record and tour with a rotating lineup in addition to core members Mann and McCoy. 2017 will mark the band’s 30th anniversary.

The Heaven and Hell tour will mark a special reunion for DEF FX, bringing together the original songwriters and performers that were pivotal in creating that unique 90s DEF FX sound and image.

They will play all their hits and are releasing a new single especially for the tour. Joined by friends and cult band TKK will make it one of the music events of the year.

TOUR DATES

Friday, July 21: Rooty Hill RSL, Sydney

friar
FRIAR RUSH (nsw) are the 3rd band to jump in the Steel Assassins 2017 boat. We are treated to a rare showing from one of not only our favourites but one of Sydney’s absolute class Melodic Metal bands. It will be their first show in 2 years! bengal_tigers-27

Melbourne’s BENGAL TIGERS are part of Australian Heavy Metal history. Forging their own brand of Steel in the hey day of the genre they were Australia’s answer to JUDAS PRIEST or ACCEPT. Many years later and the guys are still kicking it as hard as ever. They are proudly our 4th band confirmed for SA 2017. Last seen here back in 2014, this will be their only Sydney appearance of the year. Feels good to have them back. It’s time to break and bend. \m/

widow

Trad Metallers WIDOW(usa) are the 5th band confirmed for Steel Assassins 2017 and our first headliner. 4 years ago the guys put on an amazing show in one of the most memorable sets in our history. Also they walked away from the weekend with not only a stack of new fans but friends too!! WIDOW is incredibly eager to return and showcase material off their new album ‘Carved In Stone” and we are honored to have them for a headlining set this time so you can get even more WIDOW for your buck!
